Matt Tibbs
Matt is a visiting professor in the Theatre Design and Technology program at University of Cincinnati CCM. Recent work includes sound designs of As You Like It, Romeo and Juliet, and Shakespeare in Love at Utah Shakespeare Festival, The Cay at Indiana Repertory Theatre, and Three Sisters at the Clarence Brown Theatre in Knoxville, TN. Matthew’s nearly 100 sound designs have been seen on stages nationally, including New York City, Chicago, Washington D.C., Cincinnati, Salt Lake City, and Portland, Oregon. Matthew’s film work has been seen at festivals nationally and internationally. Matthew often designs sound during the month of June for Great River Shakespeare Festival. Prior to his position at CCM, Matthew spent five years as sound design faculty at Ball State University. He is a member of the designers’ union United Scenic Artists Local 829 and the Theatrical Sound Designers and Composers Association (TSDCA).
