This session was the first dress rehearsal. The goal of the session was to complete a full run-through without stops. 

Before the rehearsal began, the ensemble continued preparing the production, discussing sets, costumes, and props. The group discusses alternatives to missing set pieces and discuss how to finalize things with minimal rehearsal time. 

After check-ins and the ring, the ensemble began its first full dress rehearsal. The group attempted to run the show without stopping, however there were moments of uncertainty surrounding blocking and props that prompted questions and notes from the ensemble. 

One writer encouraged an actor to be confident during her musical section saying,

“If you can sing it, sing it!”

The rehearsal gave the ensemble a chance to identify the final details that need attention before opening night. Participants worked on projection, clearer entrances, smoother transitions, and refining the use of props and music.

With their first dress rehearsal complete, the ensemble now looks ahead to their final rehearsal before opening night.
