South Carolina native Willie Cornish, Jr. joined the DPT staff in Summer 2026 after serving as the Marketing & Box Office Manager for the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra, following years of social media management. Willie is a composer and music teacher passionate about the arts and building human connection. A recent recipient of the University of Michigan’s Creative Careers Residency, Willie is an avid collaborator whose works have been recognized nationwide by artists and organizations like What Is Noise, The U.S. Air Force Band, the George Shirley Vocal Competition, Luna Nova Music Ensemble, New York Youth Symphony, among many others. Willie holds music degrees from Furman University and the University of Michigan.
