Terry Barclay is a leader in building strong business networks and board governance teams with over 35 years’ experience working with top management of some of the world’s best-known companies and nonprofit organizations to achieve strategic talent and overall growth targets. She is the founder of Janus Group, a consulting practice focused on private foundation and nonprofit governance, succession planning, and strategy development.
As president and CEO of Inforum for nearly twenty-five years, Terry oversaw one of the largest women’s business networks in the country focused on accelerating careers for women and refining corporate strategies for attracting and developing top talent. Under Terry’s leadership, Inforum became a trusted ally and sought-after resource in helping companies, private foundations, and nonprofit organizations win the war for talent through sustainable, data-driven strategies.
Terry serves on the boards of the Cranbrook Educational Community, Cranbrook Institute of Science, Cranbrook Center for Collections and is Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of The Nature Conservancy of Michigan. She is a founding member of the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum Making History Network in Michigan. She is an active angel investor through Michigan Angel Funds I and II. She also is the co-editor of two best-selling books: The Road to the Top is Not on the Map (2019), and The Road Forward (2021). She has a BA from the College of Wooster and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
